SUMMER II OVERVIEW

Summer II is a full term of work and having this time allows you to accumulate credits that you need to obtain your Master's and New York State Certification within 2 years. We have intentionally offered several different scheduling options to accommodate for Summer work, travel, and personal obligations.

This summer, you will engage in general pedagogy coursework designed to support your development in culturally responsive instruction. You will then have the opportunity to apply these learnings to create a comprehensive unit plan within your subject area that includes specific culturally responsive approaches. Additionally, you will engage in methods coursework that is tailored specifically to build knowledge in your content major. Your summer coursework includes one week of in-person coursework and as well as asynchronous online coursework throughout the summer term.
